They are responsible for the visual aesthetics of each performance, for the light and multimedia setting. Thanks to them every bulb and lamp shines in the way they want. Their talent and imagination could be admired by the citizens of Wroc\u0142aw when they illuminated the Wroc\u0142aw Opera House on the occasion of its 180th anniversary and projected a birthday show on it.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Kamil Jach<\/strong>, the head of the lighting team, is its good spirit. He grew up in the Wroc\u0142aw Opera, although there were no Operans back then. When he was a child, his dad used to take him with him to work at the opera, especially during holidays. He knows almost everyone and is very close to the team. In addition to the opera, he has worked for example at the Pol&#8217;and&#8217;Rock Festival and with world stars: Queen, Scorpions and Linkin Park.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He used to practice volleyball, but&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; You only have one spine. You had to give up something. Now working at the opera is like a gym: the heaviest lamps weigh 50 kg each,&#8221; he says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kamil&#8217;s dad <strong>Bogus\u0142aw Jach<\/strong> is a foreman, in fact an institution, because he is the most trusted man in the whole opera company. We talked to him about animals at Wroc\u0142aw Opera in the context of &#8221;\u00a0Der Freisch\u00fctz&#8221;, which features two greyhounds. Bogus\u0142aw Jach recalls that dogs have been in &#8220;Halka&#8221; before. They also played cats (meowing in &#8220;The Barber of Seville&#8221;), camels (in &#8220;Aida&#8221; staged in the Centennial Hall in 1995) and horses. After a soloist rode onto the stage on a beautiful stallion in a Vienna concert in the 1990s, an anecdote circulated in the opera house that his fee was higher than that of the singer. There were also frequent appearances of chickens and ducks: in &#8220;Fiddler on the Roof&#8221; and &#8220;Cracovians and Highlanders&#8221; directed by Krzysztof Kolberger.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; During the performance one of the hens was flying around the stage until it flew off the proscenium and landed on the orchestra railing. Until the intermission it was calmly walking on it &#8211; says Bogus\u0142aw Jach.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many stars at the biggest festivals in Poland performed under the light of lamps set by stage lighting operator <strong>Grzegorz Podbieg\u0142owski<\/strong>. With one move, he could add or subtract years from them&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Bartosz Nowacki<\/strong>, electrician of stage lighting, is fond of banging on cymbals. He is the drummer in The Great White Lights band.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lighting team also employs <strong>Pawe\u0142 Oleksiak<\/strong> &#8211; brigadier, <strong>Wojciech Zacharsk<\/strong>i &#8211; multimedia systems operator and <strong>Karol R\u0119bisz<\/strong> &#8211; stage and multimedia lighting engineer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are seven lighting engineers left, as <strong>Czes\u0142aw Danielewski<\/strong> retired in November after 37 years of working for the Wroc\u0142aw Opera. He is one of those employees who could write a piece of history of our opera. He used to work in a printing house, but moved to the opera house because in those days you could not travel abroad freely, and with the opera house it was possible. His first trip to the West was with &#8220;L&#8217;Italiana in Algeri&#8221; in West Germany. After that, he usually travelled with performances to Germany, Italy and France. He always took care to set the lights for the scenery and illuminate the artists as well as possible.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is he going to do now? &#8211; Definitely not work. I have 45 years of experience and that is enough.\u00a0I&#8217;ll go to the countryside to my family and live in peace,&#8221; says Czes\u0142aw.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And that is what we wish him and thank him for everything!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you all for your time and conversations, we will be knocking on more people&#8217;s doors soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>7 wspania\u0142ych czyli dzia\u0142 o\u015bwietlenia sceny To oni dodaj\u0105 blasku wystawianym u nas operom.
